Abstract
As an increasing number of women in STEM face career discontinuity, providing them with sound solutions and measures that can best utilize their knowledge and experience is an urgent necessity. To address this need, the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning(MSIP) and Center for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology(WISET) began implementing support programs in 2012 to help women scientists and technologists resume economic activities. This presentation provides an insightful analysis of the background of "return-to-economic activity" endeavors for women scientists and technologists, a brief introduction and discussion of the significance of governmental support, the latest achievements and findings, suggestions for future directions, and the expected effectiveness of the measures.
